Cavalier 2.4 Published by Manual-Mecanica
: Silly: Hello. I have a Cavalier 2.4 year 96 the problem is as follows: when it turns it on it costs to start some disruption before normalizing and after that when the accelerator is going to tend to drown. I have changed all the sensors. The tuning is perfect and the coils and the ignition module are new ... and this failure could be due to the EGR valve? .. Thank you for your contribution.

Manual-Mecanica Response On the Cavalier 2.4
Good Sony. By definition EGR means exhaust gas recirculation, normally it is activated or opened by means General are two screws, once you will see that it has two holes and a valve that opens and closes between them, as a spray cleaning council and a little morning and remains as new. Then you apply empty by the manguerite that goes outside to verify that it opens and closes this correctly you can do it with your mouth. At least you go out of doubt if it is the EGR or not. Greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Response On the Cavalier 2.4
Hello friend and had a little experience with this type cars, if you give maintenance to the EGR valve you do not solve the problem. With past experiences and found that the plastic covers where the coil packages are installed are damaged by high temperatures and useful life (not the coils if not their case) this generates a significant leakage of current of the primary and causes a failure of cylinders both cold and hot review this and may help you in something and tell me

Manual-Mecanica Response On the Cavalier 2.4
Good morning, Sony not only can you give you this fault sometimes it happens that the vehicle engine oil pressure in the special 2.4 drops because of the pump and this causes the tensioner of the q chain to be hydraulic does not keep it tensioned at the time of the start, and when the accelerator steps fails, once you accelerate it and the pump goes up the pressure is kept the engine running, checking oil pressure with an adequate clock

Manual-Mecanica Response On the Cavalier 2.4
B) Hello and thank you all for answering the truth of my car is that it is with maintenance and new parts I explain ... the sensors all change them new .. Except the EGR .... Rings. pistons metals. valves. Imajinen the amount of money but it is worth it in the end ... Well check the EGR yy also the fuel pump that also told me that it could be due to lack of fuel pressure which tends to drown when the accelerator floor .. Thank you and inform if I solve the problem so that others follow the recommendations ..
