Renault K4M Quembobins published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello everyone, I have problems in a Renault Clio2 2002 1.6 16V (K4M). These engines, although, are generally solid and reliable, have according to what observed chronic problems at the level of lapiz coils that use their ignition system, this case:( , it is too much ... the car has 2 German ber -brand coils that I put in the engine myself quite a long time. And all ok, however the other pair has given me pure problems. I have tried everything, Sagem coils, Chinese, etc. Thinking that there could be a problem in the circuit, I have reviewed it. Then the last time I burn the coils, to make sure, change the German beru (they were in cylinders 1 and 4, I changed them to 2 and 3, the same, the coils that are not German burn super fast, the client is already looking at me weird, and I do not like that ...: HUH: :(local market and do not bring coils "branded for that car" "Cheap" coils burn, never so much ... I have a bit muskent ... please ask the community to share similar experiences as to this, since I am thinking of going to the capital to see what there is, but I would like to hear opinions about it and so not to hurt again ... greetings to all.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Renault K4m
Hello everyone, looking to find a person who has Valeo brand coils (France), they are at a good price, that of the Beru or trace ... someone who found these coils in this car? How are you? Because the reverse tells me that they are good, but that is what they all say ... in any case I recommend for my experience, if you change coils it is Major isalarlas with new and berified spark plugs. Thank you . Greetings to all.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Renault K4m
Wow, another Renault .. !! Hello everyone, so you say that the K4M melts the coils, the first thing I would look (I suppose it can be) is the resistance of these coils, both those of origin, as well as those that you are going to replace new, because in the issue of electric spare, I have already seen differences in the values between one brand and others ..: UNSURE: and say, that although it seems the same, because it is not, and less in the subject of these coils ... Bosch cojust before Sagem, and Made in China, as much as I would buy would be a stuffed doll for my dogs: Silly: and little else. It is a quality question the problem that you have, well, it is also rare that both leave at the same time, although in this k4m they are fed like in pairs, you know, 1 and 4 on the 2 and 3 from the branch of the ECU, so if they go in series, the same thing has only fried the cyl. 1 and the 4 is fine ... you would have to measure resistance of these. The theme of spark plugs, because the ones it carries, some RC Champion already run ..: Woohoo: : EVIL: : Woohoo: : Woohoo: greetings !!!

Manual-Mecanica response on the Renault K4m
Hello everyone,:) thanks for your opinion. As you say well in the K4M of those years, although the coil is independent in each cylinder, the control unit controls them from pairs, types or lost spark as they call it here. Almost never as the two together die, but from experience in that system I can tell you that they usually last little when I have changed it from 1 at the same time .. there must be some explanation to this. From resistive values I always check them, as you recommend well. Once he had an exchange of word with a colleague, he told me that if the resistance was the same, there was no difference in quantom to the brand, I held the opposite, time showed that he was right (experiences with similar cars), as long as the twinnings of peers in these systems, you know 1-4, 2-3, of the Chinese Beru for there and here I realized what you tell me about quality.:) . As for Bosh, here, Brazil. They are not bad, but they didn't have them. I will try the Valeo, who already bought for the engine.

Change the two joints and fat ppon in the rubber golilla that nobody looks ever is the moisture that kills them as well as the motor temperature the alternatives last one or two years approx, if you want quality, tell the client to buy them in the commercial house, understand something well the problem is of the client not of you, we are not magicians we are mechanical, and with bad things you cannot do much.
