GT Academy 2013 competition has started today at 10:00 (peninsular schedule) with an exclusive downloadable demo of the new Gran Turismo®6 for PlayStation®3. The challenges that the doors can open to a race in the motor world with Nissan will be available until Monday, July 29 at 00:59 (peninsular schedule) for GT Academy , and the demo will be available to play until August 31.
The 2013 GT Academy competition will be the largest held to date. More countries will participate in it and has the attractive attraction for pilots to see GT6 demo for the first time. Since its creation in 2008, this innovative collaboration between Nissan and Sony Computer Entertainment has attracted more than two million participants and has produced several pilots who currently compete for Nissan in first -level international races.
Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo® saga, has devised an interesting challenge for Gran Tourism participants with impressive recreations of Nissan vehicles, including LEAF, 370z and GT-R. GT6's demo will take the players for beginners of the GT Academy -based driving school before unlocking the last classification event in the Silverstone circuit. GT Academy is accessible for both novel drivers and those with experience in Gran Turismo . Any participant who registered and sends their classification time will receive extra free content.
The fastest online competition players will be invited to the events of the national final, where they will have to demonstrate their ability both in the game and with real cars. Subsequently, the action will move to the famous Race Camp de Silverstone and the winner will have the option of joining the elite of Nismo athletes.
GT ACADEMY 2013 includes France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway) and Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia). USA, Russia and Germany will have their own individual GT Academy competitions.
Darren Cox, director of Global Motorsport of Nissan, is excited that people register in the competition: "Last weekend, two former winners of GT Academy participated in the world's largest race, 24 hours a pilot development program.
"This is the most exciting entrance system we have had so far in GT Academy," explains Usama Al-Qassab, Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Product. "For the PlayStation® community, it will be very interesting to be able to see some of the characteristics they can enjoy at the end of the year in Gran Tourism 6. The challenges are an incentive for people to participate. That is GT Academy, in being an intensive driving school that discovers authentic talents of the engine world through the play and Gran Tourism, and in which everyone can participate. Next phase of GT Academy, it is always good to learn and compare your performance with that of your friends. "
The candidates of the participating countries need a Sony Entertainment Network account and a PlayStation 3 system with the Internet connection. GT6's free demo can be downloaded from PlayStation®store and it is not necessary to have the Gran Turismo game. Those who do not have a PlayStation®3 system can participate in the competition through the GT Academy live events that PlayStation and Nissan will celebrate in different countries.
