MITSUBISHI L200 Consultation published by Manual-Mecanica
Good colleagues/colleagues.

We go to the grain I have a Mitsubishi L200 truck, year 2001 but with the 2.5 diesel engine (4D56) without turbo.
We are adjusting the engine, I have around 600 thousand Chilean pesos around 1200 dollars only in the engine and something new comes out.

A query I understand that the Mitsubishi L200 oil pump is the same as the H100 or Galloper?

Moreover, when the disarmament had a changed connecting rod ... It was a connecting rod of the H100 we weighed the connecting rods and that of the H100 weighed 60 grams more than the other three. In conclusion, that connecting rod I on spending the crankshaft stump also produced an excessive vibration in the engine.

This engine is a real chub ... they will tell me that I bought a new or used one but has something sentimental for me this truck and I want to repair it.

I await your answers.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Mitsubishi L200 Consultation
Responding to your query in relation to the oil pump, it may be that it is left, the most important thing is to check the part number and thus place the one that cooresponda. Now, if the engine is already quite modified (a Franki) it is best to replace it with a new one, because everything that this bad is going to come out and the double or triple is costing you, unfortunately you have already started the expense, if you are doing a professional mechanic I would doubt it, since when disassembling and starting with the evaluation of the engine you realize, and recommend one the best option. Remember that he earns money or not, you are going to pay his fees anyway.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Mitsubishi L200 Consultation
I understand.
But the mechanic is now a friend, I had an external mechanic and did not give me the time to supervise those maneuvers.

If you mean capital it is not a problem I just want to solve the problem.

I am a qualified mechanic and I know what I am doing I will spend a money but for me it has something special this truck.

Thanks for the oil pump response.
The problem is that I could not find the pump for the Mitsubishi and they are selling me an H100 says that it is the same ...

I will have to take the original and compare it on the ground.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Mitsubishi L200 Consultation
Ok, I like that, that what you are doing, I am of the opinion that anything we do personally is better since we do not make a pig, and the decision is one in these cases, the only thing that we will be sure that for many or few details that come out we will know the conditions in which we remain and value it more. Regarding the oil pump, the most important thing is to check its specifications, it refers to the pressure that it controls to be a hiposo, I do not know it physically but in my personal experience in other cases if pieces have been replaced as you comment, knowing that they bring them a model and it puts it to another model since they are completely similar or equal only change the specifications the engine can be larger, feed a turbo, which will require a greater flow. Czech a catalog for greater security, recalls lubrication is the most important thing in the engine, and precisely to save some pesos to lose extraordinary work. Ma has just passed a customer brought me a Chinese oil filter, immediately when he rolled it, he flew out as if he had not brought rope and you already imagined the anger with the client

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Mitsubishi L200 Consultation
Gustavo, what the colleague tells you is very true, for the success of your work, making a check of the specifications is the best option you have. Personally, I am not a mechanic, I am a automotive electronics technician, but a colleague who I have next to my workshop, is an expert in diesel, Hyundai's pieces with those of Mitsubishi should not be exchanged, since some are parts made in Japan and the others are parts made in Korea, with qualities of different materials. Very large, that the cuts are already more expensive. Do not rest until you find the original bomb. You are on the right track and success. Greetings, Valdivian.
