Distribution Correa published by Manual-Mecanica
Good morning, I bought a Chevrolet Luv year 2000, I will change the distribution strap and in the warehouse they gave me a 148 teeth, according to catalog, when I'm going to put it it is too loose. Then I tell the teeth to the strap that had the engine and I find that it has 143 teeth. What should I do, I buy a belt with 143 like the one that had the manual imdique what is for another engine? I appreciate the help.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the topic of distribution strap
Theirs is that you ask for a distribution kit (belt, bearing and tensioner) The belt should be equal to the one taken if it is not the same does not use. Often the spare stores are equibocus or have the books of bad exploded example: that car from January to March manufactures it with a 130 teeth strap. At the end of March the manufacturer makes a modification and starts to manufacture for 2 months with a strap of 132. last May decides to change and ride again from 130. I have passed in some cars with other pieces and in the end you have to go to the official house with the chassis number and there are if they give you the corctus.
