Autodata is a software in which the technical data of most cars are registered until the year of the Autodata version, not to confuse with what the mechanics called before autodatas, which were the guides of appraisals or manuals of workshop on paper and those that were of a single car and year model.
That way one seeks first, the year, then the manufacturer, then the model, motorization and motor version. P. Ex:
1998> Audi> A4 Quattro> 1.9 TDI> AVF Motor.
Once you have selected what you are looking for, you can see component location when changing filters, straps length and placement, discs and drums, injection system, injection parameters, access to breakdown codes (if it is prior to OBD, in the case of this Audi it would not be possible without scanner) repair times ...
for example I have the V3.18 (2007). And it is for me a great help. (You just have to see some post of mechanical problems where you have put the illustrations to facilitate and clarify doubts).
All the best.
