Hello, I have a fault with the speedometer on my 2003 Chevrolet Corsa, Chilean version. I changed the speedometer cable and checked the gear that connects to the transmission, but the fault persists. I disconnected the speedometer cable from the dashboard to see if it was turning, but IT IS NOT. What could be the problem, since we have checked everything that is most visible? Can someone please give me an answer?

Hello, it's possible that the plastic pinion inside the gearbox has broken. You can easily remove it. It's held in place by a 6mm screw. Pull it out and you'll see if it's broken or worn. GOOD LUCK.

What's wrong with the speedometer?
Is the needle stuck or is it reading incorrectly?

All GM vehicles from 2002 to 2006 have problems with the needles on the dashboard.
