Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Does not turn on Renault Megane
Look is a 2004 Renault Megane, first generation, it is automatic. The symptom was overheating and did not turn on again. The mechanic tells me that a piece called a flyer of the automatic box was damaged, but in turn it tells me that the spare is worth more or less 2000 and that it is not achieved. The issue is what can my sister do three weeks without a car. Thanks ...

Holas I add to this sequence if you refer to the wheel that is located in the back of the engine where the clotch or torque converter is normally enclosed the case of a vehicle with automatic transmission; It can affect you when turning on your vehicle since this steering wheel has small teeth of which a hall effect sensor sends a signal either PMS or PMI to the ECU to take by reference that the vehicle will start and thus deliver the fuel, spark and air at the right time and amount according to operating conditions !!!
You have to inform yourself with your technician the truth would be somewhat to say that this is the cause for which your vehicle does not start !!!

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Does not turn on Renault Megane
hello, good afternoon.
From my point of view I think the fault does not go there where your mechanic tells you. What I could tell you is that there is indeed a flywheel in the engine that is known as the inertia steering wheel that meets the function of absorbing dead races of the pistons and maintaining the perfect balancing of the crankshaft. In order for this element to have failed, there must have been an overheating such that it had been deforming as a chewing rubber, so that a probable position sensor does not detect it. What I tell you is more less an idea for you to imagine if it is the cause of the failure. And I think it never happens. Do you know if the engine compression, or if I disassemble something and the distribution that is very likely in these engines?
since it is very complicated. inform them when you have news ..
Good luck ...
