You must first verify if the butterfly is making ground and replace all damaged wiring. To verify if you are making ground you must do the following: place a cable making contact the butterfly connector and the other end has the positive battery positive.

I have a question how do you have carburetor with a butterfly sensor? Is it carburated or injected? or mono point, which looks like a carburetor with a setral injector? Anyway, the shorts in cable go through sircos generally a sirwy is damaged, I think you should look for the cable with the problem and replace it, or try to change the connectors when they make bad contact fail and burn
