Hello,

I wanted to know if an oil that meets the API GL-5 specification, means that it also meets the GL-4

I say it because I want to change the oil to the gearbox of a cordoba, and in the manual it should be Sae 75W viscosity and that it meets the API GL-4 specification, and I have one that is GL-5

The oil you comment meets all the previous expectations to the GL-5 as long as it has the same density W75 API GL-5. : Laugh:

The oil that I have complies with the API GL-5 standard, only that viscosity instead of being 75W is 80W-90 viscosity.

It is a bit thicker, but then you want to say that if it meets the GL-5, it also meets the GL-4, isn't it?

Hello CVT, if I dedicate myself to the repair of machinery.
To the oil if it meets the specification but being denser you will notice the most rude change when gears gear. : Woohoo:
