BMW 318TDS The engine goes and the car is not published by Manual-Mecanica
Here I go again, Hello everyone, I have a 318TDS and my question is whether the marches can be put without stepping on the clutch as the transmission is not connected, since, the nut that holds the axis of the gearbox to the transmission. I understand that I do not walk for this reason but I do not see clearly because I can move the lever to the position of any march with the car started and without stepping on the clutch, is it normal or may something more fail?
I hope this does not seem like a very vain theme, thanking the expense of your time

If the lever of the gearbox is disconnected and it is mechanical, you can move it to any side, only that you have no drive for the gearbox therefore there is no propulcion, you can try putting a march with your hand and starting with the clutch tread.

The clutch is hydraulic and I have already removed the gearbox observing the loss of the nut that holds the axis that goes to the transmission although it seems strange to me that it can be just because of that, if you can think of something else I am everything ears.
The lever was connected when I took out the gearbox.

Yes, directly on the box does the marches come in? If they do not, the selector that goes in the box can be cut off or out of spokes.
