After a large half -hour jam, the radiator temperature rose. Once out of the traffic jam (the street thermometers marked 43 degrees in Seville this noon) the temperature was lowering but the car was left without current, as if it were stolen, although due to the inertia of the same it got with effort that started again and to continue home. In the end, when I arrived at the house garage it was very difficult to start it again to keep it.
As I observe, this has happened twice, and always when the car was very hot. Anyone, please, can you tell me that this breakdown can be?
Thanks anticipated.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Citroen Xsara Picasso stands up
Hello Emiliocep.
The engines are equipped with a safety system that in case of an anomaly stop the machine to protect it from greater damage, in your case it may be that the high temperature activates the system, you must check radiator, pump, thermostat and belts. Luck.
Miguel
