Hello friends of the forum ,,,, I have a doubt if someone can help to solve it.
I have a 2000 Jetta A4, automatic. The car works in good weather, stable, with force of traction well, it does not emit any smoke, but since I bought it I notice that it spends more oil than usual with respect to other vehicles. And there are no apparent leaks.
So my question is that it can be the cause that spends the car the car. I've been with this car for a year.
I would appreciate your comments .. Thank you.

Hello. VW vehicles regularly burn some oil in a normal way (this does not mean that you see white smoke at the exhaust out of the exhaust). This attends, on the one hand, to the fact that the engine burns oil to compensate for wear, that is, if the operation temperature is high (more than 90 ° C), when burning that heat that can affect greater wear. It is advisable to change the oil at least 10,000 [km]. The same vehicle manual indicates that it can consume up to 1 [LT] of oil per 1000 [km]. For this vehicle model, I suggest using mobile oil for cars of more than 100,000 [km] Muigrado 20/50 SAE.
