Annoying noise published by manual-mecanica
Hello to everything.

Look out that I have a 2000 Hyundai Elantra and approximately 1 month ago I began to notice a somewhat strange noise when the accelerator gently floor. It is as "something" differs the movement of the front tires, or as if it will carry the handbrake, or something will turn badly in the exchange box (it is automatic).

I have taken it to several mechanics. The first told me that they were the brakes because they were changed and nothing. Since it was not that and I observed in him I doubted another mechanic. This second told me that it was the clutch system , I asked him when and he told me that $ 375. To ratify what another mechanic had told me, the third to be accurate. He told me that it was the distribution Korea. and changing it had a cost of $ 105. The height is that I visit another mechanic before deciding and tells me that it is the water pump [/i. And fixing it costs $ 83

I am confused. It will be that the noise is derived from the damage of all parties as a whole that each mechanic separately told me or it will be that no mechanic is right.

You could help me really identifying the problem. I will be very grateful in advance.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Annoyed noise
Hello, I tell you the clutch system does not work as friction as in the manual so you should not make noises. The distribution strap just as the water pump does not stop the car because they work, they can produce noise but should be constantly felt. Check if the gearbox has enough oil or if it is dirty changing it, it should also have a filter to change it.

The truth is that it is quite difficult to diagnose a noise by a forum since apart from not listening to the noise, we cannot feel it or anything, you do not give many noise data if it is hoarse if it increases when you accelerate if you are always even in relief and without moving the vehicle, etc., more data.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: Annoyed noise
Thank you Leoespe for your information ... Kikemec with respect to more information I want to tell you than in Parking as long as you do not accelerate, only when you accelerate it but between 1000-3000 revolutions since in more revolutions it stops feeling.

When the car is underway within the same revolutions (1000-3000) the treatment is heard, over more revolutions disappears. If I put neutral when I go the noise disappears no matter if I go slowly or fast. In a curve you always hear.

If I go back the noise is less but it is always heard.

If I put the A/C the noise is lower. But personally I think it is due to the sound of the air that I do not hear it well.

When the Overdrive acts, long -term noise disappears but a company told me to not activate the proque to spoil the box.

And finally, the noise always persists in speed 2 and L.

If you need more info ask for it and thanks for the help guys ... after the time the sound of the noise.
