Help why published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello, I am Adrian and I have a megane 5 doors of the year 2000 1.9 DTI and the velocimetro needle does not work but the kilometers are still counting. The car does not have the speed sensor on top of the gearbox, but it works with the ABS but the light of the ABS of the board works well, when you start the car the car is turned on the few seconds goes out. If anyone knows how to tell me what the problem is and in what front wheel is the ABS sensor, I would appreciate it. Greetings

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: please help
Adrian, I have the same car, and mine works with a speed sensor that is mounted on the box (are you sure you don't have it?). It is very common for this sensor to break and bring problems like the one you have. The number of the piece is 7700418919 (No. Renault)
The ABS sensor has nothing to do with what the instruments shows on the speed of displacement of the vehicle, at least that is what I understand.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: please help
Hello.
If the kilometers are still counted, the problem is from the velocimeter of the painting.
It is true that some cars use the ABS signal, to measure the speed, but I think not that of the instrument frame, but at the level of control unit.
I continue to lean on the velocimetro of the control picture, I advise you before disassembling that you approach a concessionaire, with the computer you can diagnose the picture and make the needles go up and fall in certain positions, if the tulla does not react you already have it solved, making a diagnosis of the painting should not be very expensive, normally they do not even charge it, it is only a moment. You decide what you want to do.
Luck......;)
