Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Ford Escort 1.8TD hardade RFS
Hello,

the immobilizer in that vehicle is quite annoying since the engine march stops you before the best failure.

Unfortunately I have no manual to contribute, but I leave my experiences to deny with those vehicles.

The injection pump brings a solenoid encoded in the pump head (where the pipes come out to the injectors). This solenoid is protected by a metal cover screwed to the pump with trronillos that have a head that prevents its extraction. This is to hinder access to the solenoid.

In general, the fault of the fault is the mòdomulo that controls the solenoid (it is usually detrity of the glove compartment) but the repair of the mòdiculo implies programming the car keys and programming the mòdomulo with the solenoid.

I recommend that you cancel the immobilizer system.

For this you have to work a lot to get to the solenoid in the pump head and replace it with a common solenoid. Then you take a sign of a cable that is positive in contact and start; And you use it to command the solenoid through a relay.

So you will have the control of the motor gear independently of the immobilizer, that is, no longer matters what the red light says (immobilizer).

I hope I haven't been very late with the answer.
And good luck with the problem.
