Jeep Cherokee Cursed Published by Manual-Mecanica
Good to all the competers, today I appeal both to knowledge and experience since I have encountered what I call cherokee cursed. First the specification:

Jeep Cherokee Classic year 2000.6 cylinders, 4 liters, of coils (without distributor), 4x4 Erh motor code, automatic, and fundamentally damn.

The problem: the vehicle in a parked state and in idle does not endure 5 minutes without boiling the refrigerant.

What was done: New radiator, new water pump, new thermostat, new hoses, new pistons and rings, motor block and cylinder cover sent to hydraulic purchase, original lid joint, then a lid joint to overmedy, 150 million hours of purged of all known types, with or without thermostat, by pass to the heating
to annul it, new fans.
The vehicle temperature walking is approximately 80 degrees proven with real scanner and after 5 min of being parked in fever. It is not the first Cherokee I see in the workshop but if with this problem, they told me that when the cylinder lid is to be thrown away after 200,000 kms, which is not very coherent but well, a little hand with any idea ??? or someone who already suffered with the same? Thank you very much

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the subject Jeep Cherokee Cursed
Hello WTO Electro.
In order not to be so hard, we are going to change the qualifier of "damn" for that of "Jodón", because in truth, when he dedicates himself to fuck ... fuck. I have an automatic model 93 model and when I finish the route and stop the engine, it is playing as if the cylinder head and the temperature indicator rise to the red, (the coolant temperature rises as it is not in motion) is split) but if I start the engine in that conditions it is lowered to a normal work range; As I live in hot weather, at sea level in the Caribbean and this engine works with a higher temperature than I started working the auxiliary fan permanently, that is, outside the thermostat, now it heats up less and when it parking the noise it is reduced to much less time. This may also serve in your case.
LUCK
MIGUEL

Good Miguel, I thought this was an isolated case but I see that I am not the only one !!! I tell you that I live in Costa Rica where in winter the nights are 27 degrees hahaha but this is the first time I run into such a fuck. I have also tried the electric air conditioning electric fan and I have not worked, I will continue with more tests. Thank you !!!!!

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the subject Jeep Cherokee Cursed
Hello everyone, WTO electro along with greeting him, I can realize the forum, that the problems are repeated: Whistle: .... From my experience in Jeep (XJS, WJS, etc.) I can tell you that these temperature problems are not exclusive to tropical areas. I live in Chile (moderate climate) and we have the same problems with these "jojitas", of course less accentuated, but they exist.
In the first one I saw, a Cherokee XJ Classic 1999 almost identical to 2000, I was able to take care as the serileimit forista, the high temperature and work of the engine, to shine everything that Esteba within my reach, reaches a situation for his:( ... It turned on well past 100 (103) degrees Celcius, the engine temperature reached almost 105 Celcius, until it began to decrease posteriorly by turning to 98. (Electrovantillaist function controlled by the ECU Motor), this is the normal behavior of those systems with the air conditioning OFF. Then with that question resolved, the other Jeep attack, and when reviewing the viscous coupling of the mechanical fan, I could see that it had an erratic functioning, the sound change and flow of air was not felt at any time when the viscoacker began to engage (88 degrees), perform diagnostic procedure that came out in the manual and determine its erratic function. Change the piece and everything ok.
After this investigating I could see that the ectroventillator function is only in support of the viscous system, if this fails the engine invariably nephews if the vehicle arrested. The other thing that after time observes in similar cases is that due to the high normal working temperature of this engine, the Chrysler-Jeep systems are very sensitive to the discourage viscous coupling is not OK.
In an occasion I saw a cylinder head problem, but in that case, other symptoms could be observed: refrigerant consumption, P0300 deployed by the ECU, 2 -cylinder completely decarbonized, clean spark plugs, as new compared to the other cylinders, refrigeration system refrigeration system (the hoses are not inchan), etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.
I cordially invite the WTO electro forista, if you feel like telling us what the problem was already the problem and all who wish to eat opinions and/or experiences. So we can all learn a little more about these machines. Greetings atodos.
