Ford Escort 1997 - Help Finding Fairy

Hello,

Today the car gave an abrupt movement forward and went out. I stayed the pedal of the treaded clutch and the brake pedal is now very hard. The gearbox was stuck in a march until I could disappoint it.
I got out in the car and looked under it from its front, there were no liquids, only the piece I show in the photos, could you tell me what happened?
