Motor performance in Amarok Biturbo TDI models has increased from 163 hp (120 kW) to 180 hp (132 kW). Despite the increase in power, Amarok maintains its performance and low levels of fuel consumption.
But this is not the only improvement that Amarok will suffer, but also the BlueMotion Technology version will also be available with automatic change and manual change in the 122CV and 180 hp versions (90 and 132 kW) and can be combined with rear traction or permanent four -wheel drive. On the other hand, it will incorporate the Start & Stop function, which allows you to recover braking energy and save up to half a liter of fuel per 100 kilometers. However, the consumption of the most economical version of Amarok (122 hp -90 kW- with rear traction) is already reduced. It consumes 6.9 liters of diesel at 100 kilometers and emits 182 g/km of CO2.
Many Amarok clients also wanted this to have a parking aid system, therefore, from now on, the trendline and highline versions will optionally offer the Park Pilot system: with the use of sensors located in the front and rear bumpers.
The "light and visibility" package has also been added as optional equipment. This package contains a rain sensor, the automatic control of the front lighting, the Coming & Leaving Home (which illuminates the area around the vehicle when the driver goes up or down) and the interior rearview mirror automatic anti -slip.
Amarok can also be equipped with the turn light, which provides greater security in night driving. When the vehicle turns by carrying a speed greater than 40km/hour, the front folding lighthouse on the curve side is turned on. Thus the driver can warn better possible dangers.
In addition, Amarok can carry the automatic "Climatronic" air conditioning system that guarantees the cooling of the interior during the summer months. During the winter, the cabin remains hot thanks to a supplementary heating system with remote control, which can also be programmed to heat the interior before getting into the vehicle.
But not all changes in Amarok are interiors, the general aspect of Amarok has also been slightly renewed and has a 12 -year guarantee against corrosion drilling. The rear gate, which can support loads of up to 200 kg, can now be blocked and is much easier to close thanks to hydraúlic cylindrical bars (standard for the Trendline and Highline finish). The maximum towing weight for all amarok with four -wheel drive and manual change increases from 2.8 to 3 tons, while Amarok equipped with automatic change can tow up to 3.2 tons.
