The new Volkswagen Golf Rages a 300 hp TSI engine , which is more powerful, but at the same time up to 18% more efficient in fuel consumption than its predecessor. Golf R with manual gearbox reaches 100 km/h after only 5.1 seconds (5.7 in the previous model); which is reduced with automatic DSG change to 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed of the new Golf R is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Despite 30 hp more power, golf fuel consumption R has been reduced from 8.5 to 7.1 l/100 km compared to the previous model.
CO2 emissions have also been improved from 199 to 165 g/km. With the Stop-Start system and battery regeneration, together with the six-speed DSG gearbox, golf R is even more efficient . With this configuration, fuel consumption falls to 6.9 l/100 km (159 g/km of CO2). Fuel savings compared to the previous model with DSG (8.4 l/100 km) is 1.5 liters at 100 km, an improvement of 18%.
The new golf R has exclusive and customizable characteristics : specially designed bumpers, side sighting and 18-inch alloy wheels, series bi-xenon lights with new design LED diurnal lights (in double U), Dark red LED rear headlights and two outlets exhaust system with a total of four chrome tubes. Inside, Golf R wears its sports seats with a mixture of "fabric-alcantara" materials and three radios with leather.
