The "Good Designtm" Annual Prize is considered the most prestigious international award in the field of product design.
In this edition, they have been deserving of this coveted prize no less than seven BMW Group Design products: the models that have raised with the prize have been the BMW 6 Gran Coupé series, the BMW 3 Berlina series, the BMW M6 Coupé, the BMW M5, in addition to the mini roadster and the Husqvarna NUDA 900 R. The seventh winter was obtained "Travel & Comfort" by BMW. An independent panel of Judges, composed of design experts and architects, carefully examined several thousand proposals, of which 700 designs were selected, prepared in 38 countries.
This award dedicated to design, which has reached international fame and is the oldest in the world, was created in Chicago in 1950 by the architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann Jr. organized the Chicago Athenaeum and the European Center for Architecture, Art Design And Urban Studies [European Center for Architecture, Artistic Design and Urban Studies]. For more than sixty years, this prestigious award has recognized the work of designers and manufacturers of new products and visionaries, concepts and ideas that cross the limits of ordinary product design. In addition to attending to criteria for functionality and aesthetics, ecological responsibility also plays a relevant role in the election.
