Toyota and PSA Peugeot Citroën today announced a new agreement on light commercial vehicles for the European market. PSA Peugeot Citroën will supply Toyota vehicles for sale in Europe, under the Toyota brand.

As a first step, from the second quarter of 2013, PSA Peugeot Citroën will supply medium -sized vans derived from the Peugeot Expert and Citroën Jumpy models. The agreement also includes collaboration in next -generation vehicles that will be produced by PSA Peugeot Citroën. It is expected that collaboration extends beyond 2020.

The agreement also contemplates the participation of Toyota in the investment in the development plans of new industrial models. Both companies have no plans to make a joint production.

"We are delighted today to announce the expansion of the scope of our successful cooperation with Toyota. This agreement launches the development of a new generation of commercial medium-sized vehicles that offers both companies a competitive product for the European market," said Jean-Christophe Quémard, executive vice president of PSATot Citroën programs
