Recently, two young people decided to embark on an unprecedented challenge: walking around the world in a 100% electric vehicle, to promote electric mobility. The challenge, baptized as "the electric odyssey", will begin on February 11.

Xavier Degon, 27, an engineer at EDF and Antonin Guy, 28, advisor at Capgemini Consulting, are the adventurers who will carry out this expedition. After leaving from the city of Strasbourg (France), "the electric odyssey" will cross 17 countries in 8 months, in a route of more than 25,000 kilometers. All this with approximate consumption of 250 euros of electricity.

The 200 -day tour will pass through places as disparate as the American rocks, Japan, China, Kazakhstan and Central Europe. The Citroën C-Zero will need to be recharged every day to continue his adventure. It is expected to make approximately 300 stops. Through their website (www.electric-odyssey.com), the two adventurers have called on all those who are on their route to become "pluggers", to be able to use the electric power outlet and thus, become part of their challenge.
