The Volkswagen Group launches a new training program for young people in southern Europe by offering them a quick way to start their professional career with the first European car manufacturer. The “Startup Europe” practices program is aimed at young engineers who want to acquire international experience after finishing the university career.

"Volkswagen aims to reach Spanish and European graduates," explains Horst Neumann, a member of the Board of Directors of the Volkswagen Group responsible for Human Resources. "Even having a brilliant academic history, many young people from southern Europe have trouble finding work in their country. Our program offers good perspectives with the possibility of having a fixed job after two years of practices. Volkswagen is growing worldwide and for this reason he is very interested in young professionals who have acquired international experience."

The "Startup Europe" practice program has started this summer. The selected candidates will have a two -year contract. During the first two months they will be destined to the group's subsidiaries in Spain and Portugal and then move to Germany for 21 months.

This two -year program also includes seminars, language courses and talks with students, all supervised by tutors. At the end of the program, there is the possibility of obtaining permanent job.

The "Europe Startup" program is extremely attractive to young graduates from Spain and Portugal. More than 1,800 applications have been received for 43 places and 13 participants has already started the program. The rest of the participants will be incorporated in the months of October and November.
