Most likely, it is the water pump now if the vehicle has had any warm a hose has been broken or it has been left without water, the thermostat can have probably been hit or damaged the butt if it is not part of it is not part of taking out the thermostat try it without the if it remains the same removes the water pump if the pump is not damaged is the cylinder head if or if so luck
