Megane II noise published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello to see if Alguein can help me, I have a megane II 2007 at 5 months of having bought it, a metal noise of friction appeared when trying to start at 1st speed, the curious thing is that this only appears when one is in a strong traffic, the noise is when the Clucht is taken out and in the 1st speed, the vehicle does not fail, the other speeds are ok, when the noise leaves the noise. In general, it happens in starts and stops, in the agency they do not find the problem, they made a last review I improve something but still there, what I have realized is that if I accelerate more (1,500 rpm) to get the clucht in a certain way the noise does not occur, it is a very curious problem. Let's see if I'm lucky and someone knows something

thanks

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Megane II noise
That the clutch collar reviews you very well, the failure of this piece in the Megane II is very common, I have one that had to lower the box 3 times for this detail, after replacing it the car goes ok.

Greetings and luck

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Megane II noise
Or it is the clutch collar, which has the shattered or half gripped bearing, so that when the clutch is treading, it sounds like a metallic squeak, or they are the docks of the clutch disc, which when compressed they twist and touch with the mace or with the wheel of inertia.

The solution in any of the two cases is to disassemble the gearbox and check the entire clutch set (disc, maza collar) and if necessary to change it.

One more thing, do you say that when you release the clutch to go first it usually does the noise, right?

Try to do this by 2nd speed from standing, or back, without accelerating it a lot, just walking, to see what it does and if it sounds more or less ...

greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Megane II noise
Thank you for idea, according to the workshop they have moved the motor supports or bases, the last time they did it there was a certain improvement the noise disappeared for a while, but I return, so it is the confidence I do not know if it is the speed box or the support of the supports, I am still in guarantee I have 25,000km. The funny thing is that they do not find the solution or the fools are made not to change the pieces, in short thanks for the help, I will insist with the workshop
