Hello, I have a Toyota Tercel year 88, it has not given me many problems, but recently I identify an oil leak, it was an oil pump package, I changed it, but now when it heats up more than half of the score and stop accelerating, the oil pressure sensor is turned on, and when it accelerates it, what can it be ?????????
Thanks in advance !!!!!!!!!!

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: the oil pressure sensor is turned on
Look first of anything, it is not normal for the temperature marker to pass half, there you have a problem that you have to solve quickly to avoid twisting the cylinder head and causing greater damage, as for the oil, it may be failing the oil pump when accelerating the vehicle you make it work faster and there lifts and turns off the light but it does not work on you, when you changed the packing did you not check it? And if you've never changed it, I would be 21 years old, check it to see if you get up.

Manual-Mecanica response on the Re: the oil pressure sensor is turned on
I totally agree with Kike, the first thing is to look at the Autodata the oil pressure that carries that engine and the turns to be done. (The fact that the engine has to be hot to do the test is known).

Secondly, you have to insert a pressure gauge into the threaded hole where the oil pressure manocontact is going to make the reading, and based on the oil pump, send less account of the account of the account right away.

If you have changed the oil pump joint, it is possible that:

1st the new joint is too high and you have a clearance between the rodetes, the lid and the pump body.

2nd there is some piece of old Board wearing the new one and is why the lid does not adjust.

3º You have wear in the rodetes due to normal use. (More than the 21 years of the creature, there are the kilometers and the quality of the oil that wears out).

4th Take the oil \ "washing \" in gasoline due to some carburation problem, or use an incorrect viscosity oil for that engine, (the oil is liquid as if it were water and does not form film, it escapes everywhere to the point of reaching direct contact between the pieces by breakage of the lubricating film).

Whatever it is, look at it, that you run out of a car as you leave it for a long time.

All the best.

Manual-Mecanica Response On the subject, the oil pressure sensor is turned on
hello good evening.

I have the same problem with the oil pressure light, install new pump and follow the problem. I have no problems with overheating only that when the revolutions go down the oil light is turned on.

What could you advise me?

thank you.

Hello on the subject I can tell you that many times we complicate more than well you just have to follow the guidelines. For example and the first thing is if you use the right oil for your engine. Since the oil and filter changes and third that is what will take you out of doubt is whether the oil pressure is correct for it will have to look at the pressure that marks the manufacturer and measure it with the corresponding tool in this case a barometro reviews these three things and then you will find the fault
