The Chevrolet Cabo Cupé 2012 Transformers Special Edition provides the opportunity, to fans around the world, to be behind the wheel of Bumblebee.

The Chevrolet Camaro returns to the screens such as the autobot "Bumblebee" in 'Transformers 3: the dark side of the moon', which opens all over the world on June 28 - exclusive in 3D - and on the 29th in conventional format. To celebrate it, Chevrolet will offer Bumblebee's followers the new Cupé 2012 Transformers Special Edition model, which will go on sale in the United States, Canada, China, Japan, Europe, South America and the Middle East.

"The Transformers franchise has helped to publicize Camaro - and Chevrolet - to a whole new generation of fans," says Rick Scheidt, Chevrolet Marketing Vice President in the United States. "His role in the two previous deliveries has contributed to making the Camaro the best -selling sports car in the United States and one of the best known cars worldwide."

The fifth generation shrimp was already Bumblebee in the first installment of the saga ('Transformers', 2007) and in the second ('Transformers 2: the revenge of the fallen'). The two films generated income at the box office of 1.5 billion dollars worldwide and served to make the Camaro interest the buyers again, after a seven -year parenthesis away from the dealerships.

In 2009 the Chevrolet Camaro was the leading car in Internet searches, according to Yahoo! Cars, despite the fact that the first models did not reach the concessionaires until the end of the year. The following year, Camaro was already at the head of the sports car market in the United States, moving Ford Mustang for the first time in 24 years. And in 2011 he continues to lead the sector, promoted by the launch of Camaro Cabrio. In what we have been, Camaro records sales of 40,275 units, compared to 30,206 of Mustang.

This impulse is expected to go more with the exit to the US market, at the beginning of next year, of Camaro 2012 ZL1 of 550 hp, and with the presentation of limited editing models such as Transformers Special Edition.

The 2012 Transformers Special Edition will be offered in the United States as a package that can be placed on the basis of the 2lt and 2ss finishes of the Cupé Cupé, in yellow rally. In addition to the content offered in the popular RS package, the Transformers edition is decorated with black stripes that extend through the hood, the roof, the trunk cover and the striking high rear wing tires.

Inside, Camaro Transformers has a riveted black leather upholstery with yellow seams in the instrument panel, the central console, the supports and the seats. Autobot Shield logos are embroidered in the front headrests and in the central console cover.

In addition, exclusive 21 -inch tires painted in black and a “soil effect” package will be offered as options.

Customers can start making orders from Camaro 2012 Transformers Special Edition in July and vehicles will be in the United States and Canada dealers in September. A Transformers of similar features package can be acquired in Europe when the Camaro launch occurs in September 2011.
