The magazine Engine Technology International brings together an international panel of 76 journalists of the recognized prestige, from 36 countries to decide the winner of the International Motor of the Year award, one of the most coveted awards in the automobile sector. In this edition, the jury has selected the ThP 200 gasoline mechanics, jointly developed by PSA Peugeot Citroën and BMW and present in two models of the brand's distinctive line: the Citroën DS4 and DS5.

The 76 jury members have developed their classification after conducting driving tests of the latest models, to identify the engines that offer the greatest pleasure of driving, the best benefits and the most efficient control of consumption, in addition to having the most advanced technologies.

This engine offers a maximum power of 200 hp (147 kW) and a maximum torque of 275 Nm, associated with emissions of 149 g/km, in the Citroën DS4. Equipped with the latest technological advances, such as direct injection, variable in intake valves, pressure oil pump and piloted flow pump and disconnectable water pump, offers consumption reductions and emissions of the order of 10%, compared to the previous generation of propellants.
