Husqvarna Motorcycles presents the first specimens of a new generation of motorcycles: NUDA 900 and NUDA 900R. These innovative models combine the history and competitive pedigrí of Husqvarna with the technological innovations and engineering of BMW Group.
Developed by way of merger between a supermotard and a naked, Husqvarna does not consider that the nuda can be stuffed in a certain category. This machine provides sports and dynamic driving, in which agility is perfectly balanced with performance.
Made in Milan, it provides a minimalist design. Each of the nuda's tapas helps to define its athletic body, and gives it a feeling of dynamic tension that flows along the motorcycle and ends in the sharp tail, imitating the aerodynamics of a sports motorcycle. The Trellis type discovered chassis, the high -level escape and the red rocker lid shows the performance that underlies its curvilinear body. Meanwhile, the unique lighthouse of this motorcycle looks solved forward with frown. Sports, but elegant; Of pure lines, but full of determination the nuda represents the most refined boldness of the Italian style.
The 900R nuda proudly exhibits the distinctive colors of the company in competitions, white and red, which have made the brand famous through success in races, while NUDA 900 shows a more subtle range of black paint.
Engine
Husqvarna knows that the heart and soul of a motorcycle come from his engine. Therefore, the choice of adequate engine was a decisive element within the NUDA project. A joint decision with the BMW team was made in Munich dedicated to motor development: use the F 800 R engine - a very reliable and technologically advanced engine - as a basis for NUDA 900 and NUDA 900R, but adapted to the specific needs and demands of Husqvarna.
Husqvarna has increased the displacement of its two -cylinder engine in parallel water -cooled parallel from 798 cm3 to 898 cm3 increasing the diameter of the cylinder in 2 mm to 84 mm and the race up to 81 mm, 5.4 mm more than in the standard motor. The compression ratio up to 13.2: 1 has been increased using a new three -layer butt joint and the camshafts, pistons and connecting rods have been altered to adapt them to a new crankshaft design.
To give the NUDA a unique Husqvarna character, the gate angle of the fractic ficage F 800 R - of 0º - has been altered until reaching 315º, which has created a new and dynamic engine, with a character and sensitivity without parallel. Designed to reflect the Husqvarna Sports Pedigrí, this new configuration not only provides a more aggressive sensation and acoustic career to maximum performance, but also significantly improves the power and the motor torque. Through the new engine design, with 33 mm (1 mm larger) and escape valves of 28.5 mm, Husqvarna has increased the power to 105 horses and the motor torque at 100 Nm, while managing to preserve the fluid and linear nature of the power supply in small accelerator openings and low revolutions.
To mitigate engine vibrations, Husqvarna has altered the unique BMW mechanism of the counter -bass tree, in order to adapt to the new crankshaft design, while retaining the dry crankcase lubrication system and the design of the cylinders with an inclination of 30º forward.
Despite stimulating both the power and the motor torque, the advanced fuel injection system in the admission collector, with BMW-KP engine management and two 46 mm acceleration valves, it translates into very low fuel consumption figures. Despite its sports deposit of 13 liters, with nuda more than 260 km of autonomy can be obtained.
Finally, to add the Husqvarna seal to the engine, the rocker lid is painted in red, a trait common to all Husqvarna motorcycles.
Chassis
Taking as a starting point the Trellis -type steel chassis of the F 800 GS model, Husqvarna has reduced its length by 50 mm, has then added a more rigid 80 mm direction pipe and has reduced the direction angle to confer to the NUD greater agility at low speed. These modifications make the nuda the perfect motorcycle for an urban environment, with a rapid turn response in small spaces.
To increase the prestige of the NUDA 900R, Husqvarna has equipped its chassis with a component specification at the highest level. 48 mm Sachs forks are completely adjustable and the Öhlins shock absorber comes with compression, extension and preload of the dock, in addition to a height regulator. The suspension of the 900R NUDA is designed to raise the center of gravity of the motorcycle with respect to NUDA 900, which increases the distance to the ground and the management is improved, to achieve an exciting driving and a quick response machine.
To create a more suitable motorcycle for urban life or to do tourism, NUDA 900 comes with 48 mm tights adjustable preload and a completely adjustable Sachs monkey-lieter. The suspension is intended for the driving to be soft and relaxed and to guide the motorcycle set towards the comfort of the driver, while the seat has two levels, to provide greater comfort to the occupant, and a height of 860 mm, less than the 875 mm of the 900R nuda.
Husqvarna has made ergonomics and handling into both models of nuda into priority and, as a result, the fuel tank is located under the seat, so that the weight distribution is as close as possible to the center of gravity. Built from a unique aluminum piece to achieve maximum sensation and power with the minimum flexion, these double radial tweezers of four pistone s confer NUDA 900R A larger braking power both on the road and on the track. NUDA 900 also presents Brembo radial tweezers of four pistons and 320 mm discs with sintering pills, providing a sensation of powerful, precise and soft braking, regardless of external conditions. Both models use the same 240 mm disc and two -piston rear brake clamp.
The weight is essential for a motorcycle to possess agility and Husqvarna has managed to maintain the mass of the 900R NUDA below 175 kg, partly thanks to the use of carbon fiber details and a light sports escape system. The two nuda models come with a stainless steel silencer ending, although the spring, lid and the thermal shield of the 900R are carbon fiber.
