Peugeot has prepared a great offensive for the next Geneva Hall: the world presentation of the 208.
The new 208 is a regeneration of the small Peugeot utility. Regeneration in terms of architecture, since it combines a reduced length: 3.97 m, a reduced weight - 110 kg on average in relation to 207 and improvement of habitability. Design regeneration for its renewed aesthetic codes and the dynamism of its two differentiated body. Ergonomic regeneration, materialized in a fully reinterpreted driving position, the intuitive handling of its large touch screen and a refined interior setting. Environmental regeneration, to which a range of 10 motorizations of high benefits and low consumption contributes, including an expanded E-HDI offer and the first applications of a new generation of three-cylinder gasoline engines. Regeneration of driving experience, thanks to a new synthesis of road behavior that reflects all the experience and knowledge of the brand in this field, an active and passive security of the highest level and innovative equipment such as the Park Assist function.
The 208 will be launched at the beginning of this spring. Its commercial objectives for a full year have been set at about 550,000 sales units worldwide.
Concept Cars
Accompanying the “first” of the 208, Peugeot presents in Geneva two concept-cars the XY Concept and GTI Concept. Based on 208 of 3 doors, the two concept-cars interpret, through strong but distinctive customizations, the generational jump that stars in 208. The XY Concept has been thought for urban people who love distinction and refinement while the GTI Concept regenerates the myth.
The two concept-cars share exclusive external paintings, design elements and perfectly integrated aerodynamics and richly equipped and personality interior settings.
