The Seat Mii will be launched next month and according to SEAT it will be a technologically innovative and affordable utility.
The MII will reach the market at the end of 2011 as a three -door model and in 2012 the five -door version will appear. It will have a length of 3.56 meters and will combine new 1.0 -liter 60 and 75 hp gasoline engines with a minimum weight of 854 kilos. Also, at the beginning of 2012 the Ecomotive version will be incorporated into the range, with reduced emissions of only 97 grams per kilometer of CO2.
The MII will also have an innovative technology. For example, the city braking wizard stands as an additional extra security element, while the SEAT Portable System gathers entertainment, navigation, bluetooth connectivity and other novel vehicle functions in its segment.
Perfect dimensions for the city and long trips
with a volume of 251 liters, the MII offers a great capacity in the trunk, which with the folded back seat, increases to 951 liters. However, MII is not an exclusive model for the city. Its interior space, its excellent levels of comfort and its sports dynamics, in addition to its small weight, allow to use the MII for longer distances.
Young and sports design
its front incorporates the concept "Arrow Design", while its lateral line is distinguished by wheel steps and uprising slender. The posterior zone shows a design of the pilots with novel triangular forms. Perfect proportions are the key element and equivalent to a width of 1.64 meters, the wheelbase of 2.42 meters and unusually short front and posterior blasting. In addition, the way in which the body ends facilitates the amplitude of the MII.
Aspects that define the interior are a modern design and functionality. The perfect ergonomics of the instruments and control elements fits with the surfaces that can be customized using color panels in the different equipment models.
SECURITY: The MII looks forward and automatically slows
the SEAT MII includes the braking assistant in the city, an innovative system that in case of danger warns the driver or even slows automatically. A laser sensor recognizes the vehicles that are circulating or stopped in front of the vehicle. The system warns the driver in case of imminent collision if it circulates below 30 km/h. If the driver does not react, the MII stops on its own. In many situations this is enough to avoid an accident or, at least, mitigate its consequences. It also has the ESC stability control system that is always combined with the braking assistant in the city.
The base weight of the MII is only 854 kilograms, thanks to the lightened structure of its body (mostly formed by high -resistance steels and in some places tempered steels). Thanks to its rigidity, it confers a good sense of passive security. The side airbags are part of the standard equipment, guaranteeing optimal head and the upper body protection.
Agile and dynamic with a minimum fuel consumption
A totally new generation of engines is hidden under the small Mii hood. With two powers available, 60 and 75 hp, the compact three -cylinder and 1.0 liter propeller is very light, it works gently and guarantees agility and dynamism, both in city and on the road. With a maximum speed of 160 and 171 km/h respectively, its consumption is 4.5 and 4.7 liters to 100 kilometers. In addition, thanks to its 35 -liter capacity deposit, it offers generous autonomy with a really low maintenance cost.
We must also highlight the Ecomotive versions of MII. Thanks to the Start/Stop system, the energy recovery function and other elements, has a consumption of 4.2 liters, which is equivalent to a CO2 figure of only 97 g/km. For its part, the CNG version of the child of SEAT issues only 86 g/km of CO2. As an alternative to a manual transmission, the MII is also available with an automated manual gearbox, with two electric motors that control marches.
Seat Portable System: Help system for efficient driving
One of the details of the new MII is the SEAT Portable System. An innovative solution composed of a removable 5 -inch touch screen that is integrated into vehicle electronics. Its multiple functions include the navigation system, the hands -free phone with voice control and an on -board computer. The Seat Portable System can be combined with the integrated radio and speakers system.
The functions of the Seat Portable System include the Eco-Trainer. Changing screen, recommendations on motor speed, average values and consumption profile are parameters that allow the MII owner to drive more economically. In addition, the Seat Portable System can be updated by internet download, while its custom "apps" will offer additional functions for the future.
Equipment: Sports elegance or elegant sportsmanship
available in the reference and style finishes and with a wide selection of optional equipment and accessories, the MII can be adapted to the preferences of each one. From the reference version, the new Seat Mii offers all the key elements for safety and fun in urban driving, such as ABS, electrohydraulic assisted direction, driver and companion airbags, head-headed airbags and ISOFIX anchors with top tether in the two rear seats. In the case of the Style version, the equipment includes elements such as centralized locking, air conditioning, CD MP3 + Anti-theft Antenna + 6 Speakers + Aux-In, and the windows with electric windows.
For customers who want a more elegant or more sporty character in their new MII, they can choose between the two Chic and Sport models, with color and special decorative elements for personalization of the interior. The alloy wheels and a leather steering wheel are always part of the set -the chrome interior of the Chic version gives an exclusive character to the cabin -while the Sport version offers, among other elements, dark crystals and sports suspension.
