Volkswagen increases its Bluemotion commercial vehicles , from the caddy to the Amarok. These vehicles are especially interesting for those who work with fleets and for those who need a low maintenance cost.
"The new Pro and Edition lines contribute to the range a great equipment. In addition, the incorporation of Bluemotion technology enhances the efficiency and savings of our vehicles," explains Hernán Vázquez, director of Volkswagen commercial vehicles. "The interest of our customers in low consumption vehicles, under maintenance cost and high functionality, is key to explaining this range restructuring."
A renewed range: Pro and Edition
The PRO finish is aimed at people who make a more professional use of the vehicle as a work tool. This new finish reinforces the serial equipment by incorporating elements such as Bluetooth, climatic or climatronic (depending on the model), the fog lights with turn of rotation and tempomat .
The new Edition line applies to Trendline and Comfortline versions oriented to leisure of the Caddy range. The new Caddy Edition in its Trendline version includes interesting elements such as metallic paint, light and rain sensors, the Tempomat system and fog lights with rotation light, in addition to the Bluetooth, the Climatronic System and the practical multifunction steering wheel . All this, focused on the recreational use of the vehicle. For the Comfortline version, the Edition finish adds the RNS 315 browser.
Bluemotion technology
The new Caddy Bluemotion Technology is combined with the TDI engines of 75, 102 and 140 hp of power, in addition to the 105 hp TSI, and is available in the van, Kombi, Trendline and Comfortline variants. The large strokes of this model in fuel savings and emission reduction are the engine Start-Stop system, the recovery of braking energy, automatic speed control (Tempomat) and aerodynamic optimizations. Thanks to all these aspects, it is possible to reduce fuel consumption until reaching an average of only 4.9 l/100 km .
The Kombi Pro Bluemotion Technology Transport is a normal ceiling vehicle, a 3,000 mm wheelbase and a maximum weight of 2.8 tons that incorporates the 2.0 TDI engine of 114 hp. With Bluemotion equipment, vehicle efficiency is improved thanks to Start & Stop systems, the recovery of braking energy, low rolling resistance tires, as well as cruise speed control. Its consumption is 6.8 liters of diesel at 100 kilometers and emits 179 grams of CO2 per kilometer .
The new Crafter Bluemotion has four motor options, 109, 136 hp and the 143 and 163 hp bitdi respectively, which offer a tight consumption of 7 liters of diesel at 100 km, with a level of emissions of only 184 grams of CO2 per km. Bluemotion technology applied to a Crafter includes the Start & Stop system, the recovery of braking energy, cruise control and a longer rear axle transmission ratio that reduces revolutions per minute.
Amarok Automatic
The Pick-up Amarok now introduces the automatic 8-speed change , the same as Volkswagen Touareg, and based on its operation on a torque converter system. The combination of Amarok with Bluemotion Technology and automatic change can save up to 0.5 l per 100 km (compared to an Amarok model without this technology and manual change) and offers emissions below 185 grams per kilometer .
