The Funstar prototype, created by 23 apprentices from the Vocational Training School of Škoda Auto, is based on the new Škoda Fabia. The car has been created by students in the last 6 months, with the support of the ŠKODA JOZEF Kabaň design manager and the Michael Oeljaklaus brand production director. This prototype will be presented at the 34th GTI Meeting of Wörthersee, an event that will take place from May 13 to 16, 2015.
The Škoda Funstar is a fun pick-up that stands out for its gray and white-white metallic colors combined with the green color. The LED lights mounted under the side bars also stand out. The double lens headlights are also LED technology, with green LED lights such as daytime driving lights. Also the rear lights are LED.
The 18 -inch 'Škoda Funstar set up 18 -inch' Gemini 'alloy wheels, from Octavia RS. The engine is a 1.2 TSI of gasoline with 122 hp of power and the transmission is composed of a modern seven -speed double clutch gearbox.
The sporting style is maintained inside, with elements finished in the gray and white-white colors and with one of the best sports flyers in Škoda. Another of the outstanding elements is the Sound System of 1,400 watts, which provides a fantastic musical experience.
Skoda's professional training school
The 'Trainee Car' project demonstrates the importance of combining theoretical education with practical experience. The ŠKODA Professional School offers three or four years training programs for young people, focused on technical issues. Students graduate with a learning diploma or a level 3 NVQ certificate, respectively. Currently, there are 13 training courses, with a total of 880 full -time apprentices, of which 12.5% are women. For their part, 65 current workers are complementing their qualifications with a postgraduate degree.
The ŠKODA Professional School in Mladá Boleslav was inaugurated in 1927, and since then almost 22,000 students have completed their training there. Training is free and remunerates students' work during learning. After successfully completing training, Škoda offers permanent job to all graduates.
