The Indian multinational has made the decision to ask her followers on social networks for help to rename the 'Zica' model, presented just a few days ago at the Auto Expo Fair in New Delhi. The name, acronym for "Zippy Car" (energetic or cheerful car), looks too much like that of the virus that frightens the world population these days. For this reason, Tata has launched a Twitter contest with the hashtag #fantasticonamehunt and also on Facebook and WhatsApp to find a new name for your vehicle. The prize? A car of this model or the equivalent of its value, in the event that the winner does not reside in India.

The 'Zica' aims to be the jewel of Tata Motors and seems to sell this car with the same name of a virus that has made the WHO declare the health emergency is not very suitable. At least this has been declared by the company to Bloomberg: "Tata is a socially responsible company and for empathy towards countries that are suffering difficulties due to the recent outbreak of the Zika virus, he has decided to rename this model." According to the multinational, in the coming weeks it will be announced what the winning name is so that the vehicle can be launched already with its new denomination.

The Zika virus is transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, also responsible for other diseases such as chikungunya or dengue. 24 countries of the American continent are affected by this virus that was first discovered in Uganda in 1947. Most of the infected do not present any symptomatology but, in pregnant women, there is a great risk that the baby is born with microcephaly , although it is still unknown what is the mechanism by which the Zika virus causes this disorder.
