Honda CBR 600F engine

I am disassembling the gearbox of my CBR 600, someone knows if to be able to remove the lower carrter from the engine (where the gearbox is housed), I have to pick up the engine or it is not necessary to do it.
I would like to disassemble the lower carter to arrive on the gears of the gearbox, leaving crankshaft upstairs.
