Acceleration problems in Seat Toledo Magnus 97

Hello, the other day while driving my Seat Toledo Magnus of 97 suddenly the accelerator stopped working, but the car was still torn off. I stopped, turned out the car and started it again and the accelerator worked again, but a few kilometers later did the same thing again and repeated the operation and worked again. Could anyone give me an answer? Thank you.
And if someone can pass me the owner's book I would be very grateful. Thanks again.

Do you have electronic accelerator or is it with mechanical piola?
