Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: I think I have to change the oil pump
Look I have a Mercedes Benz Sprinter to which I did engine recently, I put everything new even the oil pump. And hot has 12 to 15 lb of hot pressure and 30 in cold, in high high 30 and in cold 40 ... Look for me 10 or 15 lb of pressure is normal I tell you why many times the exesive pressure of the oil ends breaking the bearings. Anything if you keep doubting the pressure of the oil and at a place where they sell forces and consult the oil pressure. Greetings
PD: If you are curious to make a change of oil and filter and fix that the oil often loses viscosity that gives greater flows and loss of pressure but this occurs in oil that at least have 15000km. Greetings

Well, first of all, what oil are you using? The first thing is to try to check the pressure with 20W50 oil, connect a physical oil pressure meter instead of the oil pressure bulb in the head, check the pressure at normal operating temperature (90 to 100 degrees centigrados) Take note which is the pressure at 2000 rpm, it must be minimum 19 lbs/plg2, this is the VW specification. and then accounts what average
