YAMAHA YZF426 YEAR2001 Published by Manual-Mecanica
very good !!
I am new in this so I don't know very well how it works: Laugh:
I have done with a Yamaha Yzf of 426cc and I have a serious problem with her.
When starting it, it cost me a lot of work. I cleaned the carburetor, the spark plug I checked if the spark plug was sparking, everything was correctly thinking that it was that I threw gas again and the one to try to tired of kicking it I tried to tear it to the push towing with a car since it has a lot Very high relief and assumed that it was for that and that towards a very rich mixture in gasoline. Leaving this apart I have thought that it can have a bad adjustment of valves that have touched the distribution once and this poorly left or some move of those. If anyone knows about the subject or something has happened to you, I request your help
thank you very much and greetings !!!!

Manual-Mecanica Response on the yamaha yzf426 year2001

black pull I tell you that to start the motorcycle you need a bit of the morning since this motorcycle starts with a decompressing man that brings the motorcycle a smaller lever that brings the oppress and low the kick, loose the decompretcher and you let it rise the kick up to half and now low as if it were normal to start it. Not having died with my confusing explanation, greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Response on the yamaha yzf426 year2001
Hello everyone, Kumaka. YZ 426 rich motorcycle ... friend do not hesitate to have closed admission valves, with little slack ... Proboca in a high -compression and cross -like monocylindrical valve Modern valve engines with a very high obtaining power per displacement ... I continually repair this type of engines and I keep surprising the upper heat production of those machines ... in fact when I start I turn on a cigar in the multiple output elbow just after seconds after the start. You must review the slack or tolerance, especially the admission valves, if they are closed, everything you describe is normal. I recommend downloading the manual, step by step all the procedure to be carried out to regulate valves in these engines. Finally that motorcycle if I am not mistaken has the admission valves in Alloy of Titaneo, very light, but less resistant to heat ... and to the wear of the seat (that is why they close faster), in any case they are engines in which regulatory regulation should be checked at regular intervals, if you do not run at risk of burning the valve or what is worse in the clutch. In many cases I place stainless steel valves, heavier, but reliable ... always with the change of springs, a little more rigid to control the inertia of a heavier valve, if you keep the same springs the butter engine bellows, especially after 8000 rpms (the valves revote). Finally that motorcycle has an extraordinary change of change of its 4 marches, it is what I like most about it. If you have doubts, write to us. Greetings and luck.

Thank you very much Fiat147 I am with the valves put in the head and until I do the adjustment I will not get comfortable. I was looking for the workshop manual of this motorcycle on this page and I found nothing about it I thought about looking at the adjustment that YZF450 possesses since the engines are similar. If I can't find anything about YZF426, could I do it with the tolerance of the 450? Greetings and thanks for the answer
