I have an Opel Corsa 94, I have problems going to second march. I have noticed that this happens frequently in the mornings or when the car is cold, that this problem could be.

Have you changed or added oil in the gearbox? Have you changed the clutch once? I say it because Opel in both manual and automatic gearboxes carries ATF SAE 10 Dexron II, the same oil that is thrown to the assisted directions.

This detail does not know and what they do is add Valvulina SAE 75W80, or SAE 90, which is much more viscose. Valvulina does not damage the change, but it makes it very difficult to change your march when the engine is cold in winter.

Now, if that were the problem all the marches would go hard.

As it is only the 2nd I am inclined to think that it is a problem of wear in the 2nd synchronizing crown. One thing, how many kilometers does the Corsa have?

Thanks for the post.
The Corsa has 200,000 kilometers, it changed clutch a while ago, but I do not present this failure, rather it is recent, I will check the box oil first, and then you will see ..
Thank you.
