Hello everyone, I tell you my case, my father has a Chrysler Voyager 2.5 TD of 2000 with 117000 and km peak, recently he was in the workshop due to problems at start. The mechanic repaired the starter engine, I did not change it. Even at all normal, the problem comes to the 2 days of getting the car from the workshop, the distribution chain has been broken (this car does not carry Correa).

My question is the following, to play in the starter engine, have you had to move, alflojar or remove this chain?

As a result of this breakage, it has been bent to the KE rods transmit the movement of the camshaft to the valves, according to me, the thing is to record but not too much. What moving me is that it has happened just after the car was in the workshop.

Greetings to all and thanks for answering.

My friend the start has nothing to do with the chain, they are on the opposite sides of the engine, the chain is in the distribution that is to say ahead, and the start is behind, on the side of the box and points towards the sercha, it is normal about the dovabllas valve where the engine is discouraged.

Thank you, I already informed myself, I have no mechanic idea. I just seemed strange to me to happen as soon as I got out of the workshop.
And as the refraous says, he thinks badly and you will ... but I suppose I will have been an unfortunate coincidence.
