Engine to buy loose? Posted by manual-mecanica
How are they? Let's see if you can help me a little in the choice of an engine, the issue is that I am from Argentina and maybe they can bring me from Italy some things, I planned to ask for an engine since there are models of Fiat engines that are far superior to those that are here in Argentina, and the Standart themselves can be equal or similar in power to modified ACA engines.

It would be to install in a Fiat Palio or Fiat Uno, in one of those 2 models, more or less that the measure of it enters the vain motor is more than enough, I can make many modifications to anchor it to the body's structure.

Well, I go back with the question, it would be good that it is a Turbo and Fiat brand engine, I thought of something like what I see in Europe the Coupe Fiat 2.0 16V Turbo, or something like that ... what happens that I do not know that it is convenient with respect to the price. I hope to see if someone can guide me with this. Thanks and greetings from Argentina.

Hello you will see what you have to think is first in the engine control system such as ECU and etc., these types of engines mount multipoint and various sensors. You could mount the 1.4 Turbo 146A8,000 engine and you would have to mount the Injection System L 3.1 Jetronic

The spark and mixing system is already resolved, the engine would be mounted a programmable injection, the sensors I all, and the coils also at a good price and good coils, the only thing that really limits me is that I want to get an engine that is a good base to give it a preparation, likewise the turbine would be purchased here that also with the variety.
What interests me is just the closed block engine. nothing else.
The idea is not to buy a 1.4 since here 1.6 are used and some stretches of displacement and there are good developments so it would be counterproductive to complicate it to bring a 1.4, the idea would be to bring a Fiat of 2.0 or greater displacement too. The more displacement the better, and it would be good that it is Fiat to have the body and the car of the same brand, since mixing is not my taste.

The question would be what engine do you recommend? What big fiat are there in Europe? Is there something type 2.4? 2.5 NAFTA? And if it was with a better factory turbo, even if I don't have the turbine.
thank you
