VW Gol 98 Motor Problems Published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello everyone, I have a 98 goal and I have trouble putting it up, we change distribution strap and we change all the hoses of the cooling site, in addition to the temperature sensors; We started it and in the morning it costs him to leave and when he succeeds, the idle is a bit unstable, we try to put it up with a gun but when accelerating he sucks and walks, I do not know what else to do, we already changed the IAC valve and nothing, it remains the same. : Cry:

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the Re: VW Gol 98 Motor Problems
You may have some tube of loose or broken admission and you have not noticed, because it seems that it takes air without the flowmeter measuring it, in this way the mixture is impoverished by hurrying the cold start and the acceleration of the engine. It has nothing to do with the point of the distribution because if a tooth is passed the strap does not start the engine.

It would be good if you said what type of engine carries the golf, (AAJ AAE) 1.8 16V or 8V, and if it carries the electronic butterfly body or on the contrary it carries accelerator cable, because sometimes they give problems.

All the best.
