Aluminum vs. Carbon Published by Manual-Mecanica
Greetings to everyone I have a great doubt and I thought about receiving various opinions, if I have a hood and it is extremely heavy in case of wanting to make a replica, what material would be better for that aluminum or carbon ??? In my opinion, carbon fiber is more expensive but they have told me that it is lighter than the aluminum and more resistant, that it is more distant but I do not know if it is true that it is lighter ...

then that it would be a better aluminum or carbon hood?

Manual-Mecanica Response on the Re: Aluminum vs. Carbon
The carbon is more light and more rigid but it has a problem of not being flexible ... a carbon boss will weigh you less but if for any reason you put some weight will not have enough elasticity (depending on the weight) and it is broken or rajaria instead of sinking and returning to its normal state ...
I would recommend the aluminum xq also does not have a corrosive oxation of some acute impact as a normal capo by displacing the forces of impact throughout the vehicle.
