I do not believe that it is the switchboard, since the DW8 the only electricity that the pump has is the selenoid (electro valve) of gasolil cut, which lets or not fuel in.
I still think it is a food problem. Do a test.
Release the pump gas entrance and prepare a carafe with 3-4 liters and hang it from the hook of the hood.
With a sleeve you give fuel to the pump, which falls by its weight.
Then you start and check that it does not stop by accelerating.
If you are still stopping when you accelerate as if you miss Gasóil it is a bomb problem.
If otherwise I do not stop, it is a problem of the diesel or pipes tank. Trend to replace the tank aid.

well as you mention is not the computer, but we discover that releasing the escape in the engine (clamp) did not stop.
This suggests that it could be an escape object. Catalico, or silencer. Well but already thanks to your advice we come to this.
