Hello good I have an astra g a 1.7 cdti of 2004 I just changed the thermostat and and threw antifreeze. But my question is, how is the antifreeze liquid changed by Done is empty where it is filled? 1. Use only antifreeze 19 40 650/9194431 (red) and guarantee a 50% water concentration and 50% antifreeze. The antifreeze not only serves to prevent the cooling system from freezing, but also protects all components against corrosion and lime deposits. Therefore, the addition of antifreeze even in countries with warm or tropical climate should not be renounced.

2. In addition to the mixing ratio, water quality also plays an important role. Drinking water normally meets these demands. Regenerated seawater does not have sufficient quality!

Refrigeration System

8. Put the engine running and let it warm rolling
• Let the engine heat up to 2500 rpm maximum, until the 1st speed of the radiator fan speed is connected


9. Purge the cooling system
• Let the engine work for approx. 2 minutes between 2000 and 2500 rpm
Note: For this, the air in the cooling system is separated through the degasification pipes


10. Stop the engine and let it cool

11. Check the level of the refrigerant and, if necessary, fill the refrigerant to the "KALT/COLD" brand
