Help BOX AUTOMATIC CHANGES PEUGEOT 406 Published by Manual-Mecanica
Hello good morning. I have a problem with my automatic gearbox. It is the Peugeot 406 gearbox of the year 2001 2.0 HDI. I think the model is the AL4. The problem comes when the car reaches the temperature of 90º, at that time when the car stops for example in a traffic light and resume the march hits a very annoying pull. I also notice when I step on the pedal almost stopping the car, taping as if it stops dry or the march came out and then resuming what was said, hot. I have to say that we have changed the valve body and continues to do it. Any help? thank you so much

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the subject Help Automatic Changes Peugeot 406
Good morning companion, look what you have to do in your vehicle is to change two solenoid valves one of line pressure and the other of converter pressure modulation, you have to consider the original oil for this type of box (3 liters of drainage approx. Because in total they are 6 with the converter) since in the commerce I have not found it, now if you changed the valve body or hydraulic block it was new or used. New, they are different from those possessed by the factory box, the oil can be very dirty and at the same time its filter, you also have to buy magnets that are placed in the carter of the box for metal impurities once changed has to telelect a new program to the box to recognize these valves and restart the accelerator pedal with the scanner Peugeot Changes of bands and discs that are otherwise very expensive (haha like every automatic box). I hope you have been useful, cordial greetings.

Manual-Mecanica Answer on the subject Help Automatic Changes Peugeot 406
Thank you very much Roderick for your information, the valve body is a rebuilt-new valve body and the oil was also changed for what is new. The same thing that has not done well is the programming of the two solenoid valves or the accelerator pedal. The fact is that I only give me the failure, in the first speed, I mean from neutral to first and the backwards-march back, the rest of the speeds are great and supersuaves, and I already say curious that almost already when the car is stopped, stepping very little by little until it stops at all gives a small braking or thyns. I have worried this issue since the rest of the speeds are perfect and you cannot find the specific failure, so I thank you greatly.
