5 of the most common breakdowns published by Manual-Mecanica

Responding to one of the most made consultations on the Internet in this article we intend to detail some of the most frequent mechanical problems in the world of motorcycles. The complication comes in generalizing in such a broad way something that can become so specific, especially when we are not distinguishing between motorcycle models or even different typologies. For example, a two -stroke motorcycle has more possibilities to rise the engine, but when we treat four -stroke engines this is a problem that we would not mention as one of the first in the list. Thus, we will present several breakdowns of the most common in a very generic way, considering the various uses that can be given to a motorcycle and various driver typologies. If after reading this article continues having doubts, do not waste more time and go to your .
Battery does not work
This is a very common problem among motorcycle users, especially with the arrival of the cold. A classic is to put the motorcycle to hibernate, forget about it and its maintenance. But the battery does not stop at all, because the acids it contains react and erodes its interior. The best remedy to avoid it is to disconnect the battery or even disassemble it, if you have the necessary knowledge. It is also important to wash it with water and bicarbonate, especially connectors.
Light failure
Another "silly" failure but that when you catch us in the middle of the night it can be very annoying, is to run out of lighting. When going on a motorcycle, it is almost important to be seen as seeing ourselves, and if we already have enough problems for our visibility due to the volume of our vehicle, we just need to go without lights. If it is that the light is molten, we will only have to remove the holder, which is normally held by a pair of screws on the sides, remove the protective rubber housing and disconnect the pumps of the bulb to change it. It is important to have previously ensured that the contact is not.
Loss of oil
If we find an oil pool under our motorcycle when we get ready to take it, however small, it is best not to use it. The oil is responsible for lubricating the parts in the engine so that everything works correctly, if we use it with oil levels below the recommended gears will not work fluently and we can cause important damage to the engine.
Clutch problems
According to recent studies that have been published from the sector, one of the most common breakdowns is related to the clutch. This is mostly because it is constantly friction and wears out, but it must also be taken into account that we can greatly harm it if we do not maintain good maintenance, monitoring the oil levels as we said in the previous section, and changing it when it touches. You must also be careful with misuse, of course.
Chain voltage
The chain is another of the elements that have the most wear on the motorcycle. This wear will be largely increased if we also do not take it tensioned properly. Luckily, tightening the motorcycle chain is a fast procedure and that does not entail any special tool, so it will not be too expensive to do it in the workshop or even, if we are skilled with mechanics, we can do it ourselves. To delay this wear, it is also important to wear the chain well greased and clean.
