Hi Fedemots, the AUD is not the same as the AEX, this one that you carry is newer, the belt process is the same; It is not necessary to lock the crankshaft, if you remove the crankshaft plate, the marks in the pinion come, as in the camshaft, the tensioner's index is similar for the belt, the check of the taques is the same for one and the other engine. The only important one is that when you have mounted the belt, hand turns 2 turns the crankshaft to check the draft of the marks and the index Tensioner, has no more. The water pump would not exchange it if not "squeak" when turning it by hand and if it does not lose, they endure enough.

Hi Ismael, now the brands in the crankshaft and tree has been very clear! The brands in the new strap are not so that I planned to mark the old strap with Tipex just in case, I will still take the pine nuts to their corresponding brands to leave the piston no 1 in the PMS I have seen that if the crankshaft if it moves 1 grade chau motor the same with the tree ... as I do not have the useful I thought it locked with some cats. The bomb I already bought it and I have seen that if you are already changing distribution, it should be better to change it than to cure. The hydraulic pushers do not have a hard ... I thought that as I am going to change the oil I will put a 5:30 of Castrol Magnatec to see if the sound improves. Tomorrow early as a good Sunday I'm going to get on it. I will let you know how it has gone ... I hope the engine does not explode hehehe!

Hello Ismael and followers of the VW Polo!

After a Sunday of early coffee and an incredible sun I enter Quirofano with two friends touching the scientist about 11 am ... with typical tools duly sterilized gloves a polo manual in Polish down here and Tipex disassembly and proceed to the operation.
I have not used any useful to lock neither the cranksy nor the tree, carefully doing it the crankshaft does not move a hair ... the only thing the tree I see it more sensitive but na!
What I can say was a very good learning ... It is not as difficult as they paint it you have to have things very clear and continue step by step ... Imagine I can tell you that I help me more the Polish manual than anything else with respect to the brands I mean the YouTube videos are good but I think that every change of distribution is a world just for my car there is but that they last 2 minutes and little more.
You just have to wear the crankshaft with the tooth reduced to its mark in the block of the medium that seems as if you played the piñon with the old strap and at the same time you are carrying the tree mark to its site a plastive in tip with a line that is more or less at 320 degrees of the tree pinon has to coincide with the small circular mark of the same. Tipex on the old strap as a new reference by case. Replacement of the new tensioner water pump ... Comparison of the two straps and transferring the brands and chim pum starting with a new belt ... I felt all the brands to the first. I check the two and three laps spinning the crankshaft by hand to accommodate the tensioner. After 5 hours it finishes assembling everything and the engine starts the first. CONCLUSION: I can die calmly ... I am happier than a dog with two tails !!!

Hello Ismael !!!

How big !!! I don't know what to tell you about 5 hours if it was Sunday or what happened? But between Birra and Birra the manual in Polish began to understand it hahahaha. Already later and we will take away that diesel sound that does not give pleasure to listen to in a gasoline engine when making the oil change with a more cane like the Castrol Magnatec maybe it will be known. Let's see if later a noble soul posts the polo manual in Spain ... I would find out more things! Well any thing that arises me I will not doubt a hair to ask you !!!! For me this moment having been able to do the distribution is a giant step!
