ELCTRIC PROBLEMS IN MY CORALL 98-2000

I just bought an American corolla of 99 motivated by the performance of a 2004 corolla that I have, the problem is that the external temperature indicator (the digital located in the Istruration panel) is not working, only brand \ "e \" which seems to me that it could be the sensor. But I don't know where it is located, or what does it look like? Does anyone know how to solve it?
